Exit Interviews are nothing new; they’re widely used by organizations to understand the employee experience, to demonstrate respect for those preparing to leave the organization, and as a way to gain critically important information about the health and climate of the organization itself. An Exit Interview in college classes serves similar purposes, but with very clear benefits for learners and their end-of-semester success and for educators and our ongoing assessment work.
