During this virtual panel discussion, participants will hear from a panel of Century College faculty and staff members, system office administrators, and community members about their lived experiences and the impact of systemic racial inequalities on their lives. This real conversational approach will bring forth perspectives and views on injustices toward African American men and women in the state of Minnesota and other communities where they have lived and worked. The learning from this dialogue will add to our knowledge base and give thoughtful introspection to awaken our curiosity to learn more, while defining what it means to be socially conscious.
Panelists will provide insights on topics such as:
- How to engage in courageous conversations
- How to create an inclusive campus that will foster academic and student success
- How to resolve racial conflicts
- How to be an advocate and create a welcoming space for Students of Color
