Writing Change Making Letters

In this short video, we explain a first step in our civic engagement project we call the "experiments in Ethics." This first assignment asks students to write a Change Making Letter. In other words, students think about their own lives, identify a person who can make a change, and write a targeted letter to that person asking for that change. They learn the basics of philosophical argumentation while also taking an important step toward realizing their own individual power to create change in their own lives, the lives of others, and in their communities.
